Short Film for fundraising ideas

Lets say someone has a completed short film and is currently looking for financing for a low-budget feature, what would be some good methods of using said short film to help in financing of the feature?
The short and intended feature are of roughly the same genre (horror) but other than that, in no way related. Thanks for any help.

Hey there.

Maybe its a little late now but you could have organised a big halloween party or some kind of horror movieathon. Let the main event of the night be the screening of your short film.

Then sell tickets to everyone you can find. If you organise it well and get enough people to come you could make some cash.

The only reason I say have the party is because it will be very hard to get people to pay an admission fee just to watch a short film.

P.s if you have the party and get them drunk there is more chance of them liking your movie.
